Firehammer a Spiritualist?: If so, firehammer doesn't know it. [12/07/07 ] If someone had not pointed this out to me, I would never have noticed it. I have no interest in what anyone says about me or attributes to me, personally. I'm an independent individualist, and what anyone else thinks or says about me is of no interest to me. This is not about me, but about an idea. (Reginald Firehammer) Marxist Revolution of the West [05/14/07 ] A little more than 230 years ago, the most important, significant, and profound revolution in the history of the world occurred, a revolution based on a single concept, individual liberty. The result of that revolution was the creation of the most prosperous, free, and cultured country the world has ever known. That revolution was the American revolution. (Reginald Firehammer) OINO True Believers: It is easier to believe than to think [11/10/06 ] Almost the entire Objectivist political theory is explicated in Ayn Rand's Capitalism the Unknown Ideal. During a recent discussion, which began with a simple statement I made about that theory (and from which I was promptly banned) a number of mistakes were made that need to be addressed. (Reginald Firehammer) OINO Death Wish [11/08/06 ] The Democrats now control the House. Though the claim seems excessive to me, we have been assured we've been saved from a fate worse then death, because all fifteen Peikovian Objectivists have saved our country from becoming a Christian theocracy by voting a straight Democratic ticket. That there might be something worse, and that they have helped make it a reality does not occur to these arrogant academic twits. (Reginald Firehammer) OINO's Paranoid Fear of Christians [11/02/06 ] As though to prove the thesis of my recent article, "An Atheist's Defence of Christianity" [also on Free Republic], the usually brilliant and highly respected (at least by me) Leonard Peikoff shocked me with a piece of unobjective illogic that I can hardly believe. (Reginald Firehammer) Love and Hate at First Sight [10/05/06 ] I've touched on the subject of this article in my others on individualism. It's about recognition, particularly that kind of recognition of people which is sometimes referred to as "intuition" or "first impressions." Most of us have had the experience of meeting someone, and after only the briefest of encounters, had a very distinct impression about the kind of person our new acquaintance is. While we are tempted to dismiss these, "first impressions," because we do not like to judge people unfairly, it is surprising how often they turn out to be correct. (Reginald Firehammer)
